On United Nations Day, October 24th, 2020, the SAQ transmitter in Grimeton will again send out a message to the whole world on 17.2 kHz CW.
Programme:
16:30 (14:30 UTC): Start-up and tuning of the Alexanderson Alternator SAQ
17:00 (15:00 UTC): Transmission of a message from SAQ
17:20 (15:20 UTC): Live music concert from the Transmitter Hall
Anna Louise Ekman will perform Swedish and Italian songs, accompanied by a pianist (www.annalouiseekman.se).
The entire transmission event and the following concert can be seen live at the SAQ YouTube Channel, starting at 16:30 (15:30 UTC).
The Live Video Stream from World Heritage Grimeton Radio Station is scheduled for 16:30 (14:30 UTC) on October 24th, 2020. QSL Reports to SAQ are welcome (online-only).
The Amateur Radio Station with the callsign SK6SAQ will be QRV on the following frequencies:
7.035 kHz CW or
14.035 kHz CW or
3.755 kHz SSB
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, there will be no visitors to the transmission hall at the radio station during the transmission. The association will try to carry out the transmission to the world from the old Alexanderson alternator SAQ with minimal staff in place.
