British Railways Amateur Radio Society (BRARS)
October 2022 Rails and Radio Magazine
Don Not Miss This Great Publication
The British Railways Amateur Radio Society (BRARS) is delighted to report that the October 2022 issue of its Rails and Radio magazine has now been published and posted to every BRARS member.
This issue is of special significance to the editorial team, Ian G4EAN and Richard G4KRW because it means that they have published an issue of Rails and Radio every quarter in 2022.
When they took on the editorship late in 2021 they aimed to produce four issues of Rails and Radio every year and they are delighted that, with the support of members sending in articles and photos, they have achieved this aim.
This issue focuses mainly on the BRARS AGM. It also reports on ‘A Piece of BRARS History’, welcomes two new members and, sadly, reports the passing of two members.
Membership has increased significantly in 2022 due in no little part to ‘mentions’ such as this one. BRARS is grateful to the editor for finding space on their page for us.
Our editorial team always welcomes articles on railway-related and/or amateur radio topics that would be suitable for Rails and Radio. The team can be contacted at:

Membership of BRARS is open to anyone interested in any aspect of railways (by which we mean any rail transport including trams, miniature railways, model railways and such like) and in any aspect of amateur radio (whether licensed or a listener).
