Foundation Training for BBC Presenter
World Service presenter Gareth Mitchell took part in Essex Ham’s online Foundation training course
After seeing the G8BBC shack at the top of London’s Broadcasting House, World Service presenter Gareth Mitchell took part in Essex Ham’s online Foundation training course, then completed the Foundation practicals at Broadcasting House under the watchful eyes of Andrew M0ONH and Pete M0PSX from Essex Ham, with the assistance of the BBC’s Jonathan M5AEO. Gareth travelled to Essex to sit his online exam and passed with flying colours in one of the final exams of the old RSGB exam syllabus. Keep an ear out for Gareth mentioning amateur radio on his BBC World Service show and podcast Digital Planet, as well as calling CQ from Broadcasting House.
