Icom Inc. unveiled two major new products of amateur radio interest at the Tokyo Hamfair at the end of August, along with a fi rmware update for the IC 9700. The IC-705 is a direct sampling VHF, UHF, HF, D-Star all mode 10W QRP portable transceiver* (*when using external power supply) while the IC-PW2 is an HF/50MHz, 1kW linear amplifi er.
